The village of Mengerschied with 750 inhabitants is located in the Rhein-Hunsrückkreis at the foot of the beautiful recreation area Soonwald. The 2 km distant outdoor pool (2 km) located in the idyllic Lametbachtal between Mengerschied and Gemünden is easily accessible via a bike path, more indoor swimming pools can be found in Simmern and Kirchberg. Many clubs offer a wide range for creative activities, and the horse riding hall in the village offers a nice training opportunity.
