General:
This well-kept B&B with owner’s apartment is located in Brutig-Fankel in a very beautiful location on the beautiful banks of the Moselle. The building consists of an old part (built in 1878) and a newer part (built in 1988). In 1988, the roof of the old part was re-covered with artificial slate (asbestos-free) and there is real slate on the dormers. All windows in the building are made of plastic with double glazing, the central heating and hot water supply is via a hybrid system consisting of a wood stove, a natural gas boiler and 16.5 m² of solar thermal panels. The outbuildings have new aluminum roof panels and well-maintained tiled floors.
In addition to being used as a B&B, this property is also ideal for building several holiday homes with unobstructed views of the Moselle.
According to the owner, the building is flood-free at the residential level except for the extreme flood in 1993.
For your shopping you can go to the new modern supermarket (1km), a doctor, a pharmacy, a kindergarten and a primary school are in town. Secondary schools, a train station and public facilities are located in the district town of Cochem, 7km away.
